Beautifully illustrated historic guides to key places in Shropshire
My reasons for creating this series of Special Editions from our monthly magazine, Shropshire Unfolded, were quite simply, that I feel we owe it to future generations, not only to physically preserve our heritage, but also to record it, through memories and pictures
We currently offer six publications in the series: Albrighton, Church Stretton, Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Pontesbury and Shrewsbury. By the summer of 1999 we will have added Bridgnorth and Ellesmere to this collection
Each guide takes a look at the subject, not only through the eyes of a visitor today, but also through the eyes of visitors through the centuries, thus the reader gets a unique impression of the rich heritage and history these Shropshire towns have to offer
In addition, many of the guides in this series also contain Leisure Drives so that visitors can get to know the surrounding countryside, villages and hamlets which helped to create the towns
Each guide is around 30 pages, and is illustrated with drawings and photographs. They are available by mail order, price £1.25 each for UK and Europe and £1.50 for overseas surface mail)
